Our Trip to Bandon Oregon

We just got back from a much needed weekend trip to Bandon Oregon. Bandon is one of the prettiest coastal towns and has some amazing beaches. I had never visited Bandon, but some friends of ours recommended that we visit the town. I found that the beaches were even better than Newport. The beaches have all kinds of huge, neat looking rocks that stick up out of the water. There is even a rock that looks like a face. I guess that’s why they call it Face Rock.

The weather was perfect. You would never have known that it was winter. The sky was so clear and the temperature was about 65. We stayed at the Best Western Inn at Face Rock. Our friends had suggested this place to us and told us about the Storm Watcher’s Special. This special allowed my husband and I to stay for two nights for $116. We didn’t get a room with a jacuzzi, but our room was lovely and spacious. It was easily the size of half our apartment. The room had a king sized bed, microwave, fridge, big screen t.v., a desk to sit at and write, a table and chairs to eat at and even a nice, cozy arm chair. What a deal! The place also has an indoor spa and pool and work out room. We were not able to access these because they were so crowded. I guess al ot of people decided this would be a romantic place to stay for Valentine’s Day weekend. They were right.
Old Town Bandon was just a couple of miles from where we were staying. There was plenty of shopping and great beach access. The Inn at Face Rock had given us samples of candy from the Cranberry Sweets shop. We thought that was nice and a great way to promote business for that company. We were able to get a lot of great pictures. We hope you enjoy them.
