Oregon Coast Experience

The Oregon coast is a beautiful place to visit no matter what time of year it is. Of course it’s best to visit when the weather is decent. That time is here. There are many things going on all over the coast. Here are some events listed that you will want to go to Coos Bay to see in April.

On April 12 there will be an Art Walk event in Coos Bay. You can visit various places in Coos Bay and admire the local art. The event starts at 5 in the evening and stops at 8 pm. There will be food and other fun things going on. You might catch some local music or contests. Maps are available at the Visitors Center.

The Coos Bay Relay is happening on April 21. There will be 5 person teams participating in this event. They will follow the Coos Bay Military Wagon Road. Another 23 mile relay walk will start at Laverne Park. This is a great way to have some fun with family and friends. It’s also a great way to get exercise and enjoy the coast. They will give away shirts, medals and awards.

The Expressions West 2012 begins on April 27 and goes through June 23. This is an annual competition that features art from painters from 13 states. Admission is $5 per person. There will also be another event going on at this time. This event is called The South Coast Figure Painters Exhibit. This will happen at the Coos Art Museum. The admission is also $5 a person.

These are just a few of the events happening in Coos Bay. There are also shops and beaches to explore. Bastendorf Beach is close by and a very nice beach you will want to check out.
