Neskowin Oregon
There are several small coastal towns in Oregon. Neskowin is one of them. It is located on the US 101. It is a pleasant resort with horseback riding, beach combing, and Proposal Rock.
Two miles south of Neskowin is an 1800 foot Cascade Head. More ambitious hikers may want to hike up this attraction. Hikers can also find trails through the rain forest to grassy slopes overlooking the sea.
An interesting Oregon coast fact is that two governors helped to make this place a free, tourist trap. In 1913 Oswald West passed a legislation that designated the coast’s entire wet sand shoreline as a public place. In 1967 Tom McCall persuaded the legislation to strengthen the law to include all of the sand too.
