Seaside Oregon

Just north of Tillamook is the coastal city of Seaside. This town gets thousands of visitors every year from all over but especially from north Willamette Valley. There are many things to draw tourists besides the beautiful beaches. There are carnivals, family fun centers, shopping, dining and more.

Seaside was established in the 1870′s as a resort. It was made this way to sell railroad tickets. In 1873 a turn around was constructed. It was designated at the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail.

This town is Oregon’s oldest coastal resort. Explorers journeyed down the coast in the old days to find salt. This town has a one in a half mile promenade that goes through the heart of the town. It gives access to shops, arcades and restaurants. This trail is popular with the locals and visitors. This is certainly a place I hope to visit soon.
