Oregon Coast Experience

There are many neat festivals and events in Lincoln City. There are things like kite flying contests, sandcastle contests, cook offs and more. Here are some of the events coming up.

On April 17-19 don’t miss the Lincoln City annual garage sale. This event is known as the Great Oregon Coast Garage Sale. We will be there for sure. This is a community wide garage sale with over 100 individual yard sales. There will also be “insidewalk” sales. The Greater Newport Chamber and Central Oregon Association will be teaming up with the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau to promote garage sales in their towns the same weekend. You can get maps at the City Hall or Visitor Center.

On May 2nd there will be a Fish Taco Cook Off. This is free to watch and a small fee will be charged if you wish to taste the tacos. There will be 3 judges who will judge the tacos based on taste, creativity, technique, appearance, consistency, and overall presentation. This event is from 11am to 2 pm.

Some other events are Mutt Masters which will be on May 16. This is a dog show for all you dog lovers. On June 13 & 14 come to the Art Sea Festival. There will be live music, food and lots of art including competions such as the Quick Draw.  The location for this event is SW 21 Street in the Historic Taft District.

There is also a Summer Kite Festival on June 27-28. If you missed the Indoor Kite Festival which was in March don’t miss this summer event. It will start at 10 am at D-River State Wayside. It is free to watch.

There are several other events going on through the year. Keep checking this website for updates on other events. Lincoln City is a happening place.
